Goal

It’s time to learn about… You can watch the video or go straight to the written explanation. You decide!

Once you’ve finished, you can move to step 4.

1. What would you do in the following situations?

A- Your car has broken down in the middle of the road and you are late for work?

B- You have some friends coming for dinner in 30 minutes but you don’t have enough food.

C- Your computer has a virus and you have to finish an important document this afternoon.

2. Answer these questions about the text in Step 1:

1. What  issue did this family have? 
2. How did they face the challenge?
3. What lessons did they learn? 
4. If this happened to you, how would you react?

3. Can you remember a bad experience you had on a family trip or a personal trip that you had an issue or a problem with? If not, try to imagine a trip that goes wrong. Tell your teacher about it.

4. Plan what you’re going to write. Remember the 3 steps of a narrative:

 1 Background and setting 

2 The problem/conflict 

3 The resolution or conclusion

5. Write the first 2 paragraphs of your story.
