Goal

It’s time to look back and see how much you know about tenses, and at the same time enjoy what you have achieved. So far we have studied present, past and future tenses. Let’s review them.

Language Discovery

Look at the phrases in blue in the text on step 1. What tenses are they? Look at the chart and find out:

Present simplePeople have no right to raise rare wildlife as pets.Things that always or usually happen- Facts- describing yourself.
Present continuousThe lion is sitting on a driveway.Things that are happening now or around now-Things that have been arranged for the future.
Past simpleThe organization Wildlife Alliance wrote in a Facebook post.Finished actions that happened once or more times in the past.
Past continuousHe was raising it at a villa in the capital.Actions that were in progress in the past.
Present perfectPeople have seen this young declawed and fangless lion in videos on social mediaPast actions that have an effect on the present. Achievements, accomplishments  and experiences.
