Cool Running

Cool Running is a comedy film based on a true story. The film was shot in Calgary (Canada) and Jamaica during the months of February  and March, in 1993. The film was directed by Jon Turteltaub, and stars Leon Robinson as Devon Harris who is the main character in the film.

This true story is about the first Jamaican Bobsleigh team that went to the winter Olympics in 1988. The original team was made up of Devon Harris, Dudley Stokes, Michael White and Freddy Powell. But what makes this film special? Bobsleigh is a winter sport that involves running down iced tracks. But the weather in Jamaica is always hot, there is no ice.

So, How did they train? Could this team be able to win in such an unusual sport? or would they end up making fools of themselves? For sure, people’s hearts were touched by this story.
