Question 1 of 1
1. Pregunta
-
I got home yesterday and I noticed (something /nothing) was wrong. The front door was open but I couldn’t see (nothing / anything) because it was very dark. At first, I didn’t want to call (nowhere / anybody), but finally I decided to call the police. I tried to find my mobile phone, but it wasn’t (anything / anywhere). After thinking for a couple of minutes, I decided to go and check the car to see if it was there. When I entered the car, (somebody / somewhere) turned a light on in the kitchen. When I picked up my mobile phone to call the police, it started to ring. I answered and it was my mother. Before she could talk, I told her “Don’t panic, but I’m sure (nobody / somebody) is robbing our home”. She told me that was impossible because there wasn’t (anybody / anywhere) in our house! I asked, “How can you be so sure?” She replied “Because I’m in our kitchen right now, and there is (no one / nowhere) but me inside the house. There’s (anything / nothing) wrong here.” After a few seconds I felt quieter and entered my house. I still have no idea why the front door was open when I arrived. What a mystery!
