Goal

It’s not the same

 Jane: I feel like this place is better than the last one. Aren’t you glad we decided to move?

Matthew: Yes, Love, I am. Although I have to say I do miss a few things.

Jane: Do you? What could you possibly be missing? The house is more spacious, sunnier and definitely nicer! We live better now, admit it, Matt.

Matthew:  Maybe, but it’s not as simple as that!  The shopping centre was nearer, the neighbourhood was quieter, and the neighbours  certainly treated us less coldly!

Jane: You are being too harsh. Give them some time. As soon as they get to know us, they will start to relax, and be less unfriendly. People will talk to us more once they get to  know us.

Matthew: I hope you are right. I still have the impression our old neighbours were less distant than the new ones. 

Jane: You might be right, they don’t talk to us as warmly as the others, but you know, good relationships with others depend on us.

Matthew: Let’s do our part then! Why don’t we invite the families who live closest to us for a barbecue?

Jane: You always think faster than I do! That is the best idea I’ve heard today!
